Session Description-

"Adjusters deny everything!" "Underwriters always say no!" Do you hear statements like this inside your organization? This alleged unavoidable conflict is completely unnecessary. Join us on 5/10 at Noon ET to discuss “The Bad Apple Effect” and why trainers are the perfect people to overcome it. Interdepartmental assumptions and lack of training on other key functions can create drag on an organization. Trainers and educators can help solve this. Gin Brockwell will be here to discuss the problem - what it looks like, then the effects on the organization and invite discussion. Identify it, address it and train for it!

Meet Virginia "Gin" Brockwell

With 15 years of experience as an adjuster/litigation manager and 17 years as an Allstate agency owner, Gin has been deeply immersed in the insurance world. Her  dedication to the industry allowed her to serve on a committee with the State of Virginia, where she contributed to the rewriting of licensing exam questions.

In 2013, Gin had the honor of ringing the closing bell of the New York Stock Exchange to mark Global Safe Teen Driving Week, showcasing her commitment to promoting safety within our communities. Throughout her career, Gin has trained numerous adjusters and agents, imparted insurance knowledge to high school students through classes, and delivered the vital safe teen driving message, "Come Home Alive," during tours of local high schools spanning over 12 years.

Beyond her professional achievements, Gin has always valued mentorship and has considered it to be a privilege to guide many peers along their career paths. In 2020, she made the decision to sell her agency to pursue her passion for writing and teaching, channeling her extensive industry experience and her ability to add inflection and humor to otherwise boring topics into these endeavors.

As Walt Disney once said, “I prefer to amuse people in the hope that they will learn, than to teach them in the hope that they will have fun”.
